Hello, Right Foodies!
That’s right everyone – time to throw on the overalls and break out that green thumb! Nothing says summertime fun quite like harvesting the perfect veggies, fruits and flowers all on your own time! Just what are the perfect items to grow right now, you ask?
We put together this list with some of our favorite veggies to grow at this time of year, and we even paired them with the perfect Right Foods recipe and product to get your inspiration growing! (See what we did there?)
Without further ado, let’s get started! Also while you’re gardening at home, make sure to tag us on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok in all of your outdoor creations!!

PEPPERS
Right Foods Pairing: Spicy Kung Pao Noodles
The classic! Peppers can be grown side-by-side with tomatoes as well as eggplants because they have similar growing requirements. They all prefer full sun, rich soil and consistent deep watering – so your outdoor garden will be the perfect spot to start growing!
We use bell peppers as one of our ingredients in Spicy Kung Pao Noodles, so these would be the perfect snack while you’re growing your pepper paradise.

BEANS
Right Foods Pairing: Black Bean & Lime Soup
Ok, we might be tooting our own horn on this one – but how can we not include our Black Bean & Lime Soup? It’s packed with 12g of fiber and 9g of plant-based protein per serving that will keep you powered up throughout your day. Pus, they’re made with black beans, a super easy garden project for the heat!
Beans replenish soil with nitrogen and grow up instead of out, so space generally isn’t an issue with planting these guys! Plant from seed directly sowed in the garden or transplant from starts once soil temperature has warmed to at last 60 degrees for the perfect addition to your garden!
SHALLOTS
Right Foods Pairing: Asian Pad Thai Noodle Soup
Besides being super easy to grow, shallots are the best veggie to add to any bowl to give it that extra kick of flavor. Separate the bulbs into sets an plant separately and plant in full sun and loose soil. We’d pair these with our Asian Pad Thai Noodle Soup since we make the flavor packet with shallots included! These noodles are also organic, baked and are only 220 calories – a total win-win summer treat.

SOUTHERN PEAS
Right Foods Pairing: Split Pea Soup Cup
Nothing makes a table at a summer BBQ quite complete like peas! And lucky for you, we pack our Split Pea Soup Cup with organic peas, carrots and onion and garlic flavorings for the perfect summer meal! These bad boys need full sun and well-drained soil.
Make sure to keep the soil moist, and water at the base instead of overhead! This ensures small pods won’t fall off.
